The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2025–2026 notification was officially released on 6 February 2026, inviting online applications from eligible candidates across the state. Aspirants seeking government teaching posts in Punjab have been given a limited window to complete their registrations.Today, 20 February 2026, marks the final date to submit the online application form. Candidates who have not yet applied must complete the process through the official website, pstet2025.org, before the portal closes.Application window closes todayThe application process began on 6 February 2026 and concludes today, 20 February 2026. The PSTET examination is scheduled to be held on 15 March 2026, while the result is expected to be declared on 2 April 2026.Qualifying the PSTET is mandatory for candidates who wish to apply for forthcoming government teaching vacancies in Punjab. Without clearing the eligibility test, applicants will not be considered for state teaching posts.Eligibility criteria and age limitCandidates applying for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) must have passed Class 12 or hold a graduate degree along with a recognised education qualification such as D.Ed., D.El.Ed., B.Ed., or B.El.Ed. Candidates who are appearing in their final examinations are also eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions at the time of appointment.The minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 37 years as on 1 January 2026. Age relaxation will be provided as per government norms for reserved categories.Application fee and selection processThe application fee for General and OBC categories is £1,100, while SC, ST, and PWD candidates are required to pay £550. Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from paying the application fee. The fee must be paid through online mode only.The selection process comprises a written examination, followed by document verification and a medical examination. Only those candidates who qualify the written test will proceed to the subsequent stages.With the deadline ending today, candidates are advised to complete their registrations without delay to avoid last-minute technical issues.
