Gold futures extended gains on Wednesday, with prices rising by Rs 1,322 to reach Rs 1,61,291 per 10 grams, largely driven by fresh buying interest from speculators and firm demand in the physical market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, contracts for April delivery moved up 0.83 per cent, or Rs 1,322, to trade at Rs 1,61,291 per 10 grams. The session recorded a business turnover of 1,671 lots.According to market analysts, the prices were lifted by traders creating new positions.
