The Karnataka Examinations Authority has started the first round of UGCET 2026 counselling, allowing eligible candidates to fill their course and college preferences. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially launched the process for the first round of the Karnataka UGCET 2026 counselling procedure by launching the option entry portal that thousands of students are vying for seats in fields ranging from engineering and agriculture to veterinary science and nursing, physiotherapy, and many others.For those who passed the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET), the next few days may not only decide their college but also their career and academic future. Now that the option entry process is live, it gives an opportunity to the students to select their colleges in rank order before the first round of allotment takes place.

Option entry window open till June 30

As per the schedule made public by KEA, the process of option entry starts from 11:30 AM on June 20 and will continue till June 30, 2026, at 10 AM. The eligible candidates during this time will have the ability to log in to the official portal and select their preferences according to their interests, ranks, categories, and career objectives.In the meantime, those candidates who had taken the NEET exam in 2026 have been notified that their option entry process will commence on June 22.
