Renault India has just launched the 2026 Renault hatchback in the Indian market. The new Kwid gets a revised variant range, exterior and interior design updates, added features, and more. Interested customers can book the car online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries will begin soon. The updated hatchback is now offered in two variants – Evolution and Climber – with both manual and AMT transmission choices. The 2026 Kwid gets a handful of styling updates, including a new 3D Renault logo, redesigned dual-tone covers for the 14-inch steel wheels, and a silver-finished Kwid badge with a revised font on the tailgate. Apart from these changes, the hatchback’s exterior remains unchanged, retaining the eyebrow-style LED DRLs, halogen headlamps, front and rear bumpers, and halogen tail-lamps. Its dimensions are also unchanged.The 2026 Renault Kwid continues to be powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 69hp and 92.5Nm. Climber Rs 5.14 lakh (MT)Rs 5.60 lakh (AMT)(Both prices ex-showroom)Next comes the Climber, which gets features such as a dual-tone wheel cover, dual-tone body insert, chrome interior elements, electric adjustment for ORVMs, all four power windows, steering-mounted controls, fast USB charger, faux front and rear skid plates, Climber branding on C-pillars, door cladding, day/night IRVM, reverse camera, six airbags and more. Talking about the powertrain, the 2026 Renault Kwid continues to be powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 69hp and 92.5Nm. The engine comes paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.Renault is also offering a retrofitted CNG kit for manual variants at an additional cost of Rs 70,450. The kit will be installed at authorised Renault workshops and is covered by a standard warranty of three years or 1 lakh km, whichever comes first.
