Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has praised Prime Minister Modi’s response following Dharmendra Pradhan‘s resignation as Union Education Minister. Speaking to reporters outside Parliament on Monday, she commended Modi’s handling of the situation, particularly his commitment to ensuring justice for students affected by the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy.
Kangana Ranaut calls Modi “an inspiration for the whole world”
As reported in IANS, she told the media, “Our Prime Minister has set an example for the whole world. He is a great leader who is dedicated to every small and big issue. The way he is dedicated to the country and its people, he is an inspiration for the whole world. The way he has set up a committee, now a high-powered committee has been formed for this, it will work for the examination and make it corruption-proof. Even if this bill has come immediately, the amendment bill for examination, this is the commitment of the Prime Minister”.
Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at Rahul Gandhi
Ranaut didn’t miss the chance to take a subtle jab at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi either, remarking, “And Rahul Gandhi is seeing what used to happen in the time of UPA, what was the budget. This budget of education is more than the education budget during the time of UPA.”
Kangana Ranaut’s remarks come after Pradhan’s resignation
Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down on Saturday, following weeks of large-scale student protests and sustained public agitation at the heart of the national capital. Students had been demanding his resignation over irregularities in the examination system, most notably the NEET-UG paper leak. His exit came in the wake of the harsh police crackdown on protestors at Jantar Mantar on July 20. Pralhad Joshi has since taken over as the new Union Education Minister.The harsh police action against protestors on July 20 sparked outrage nationwide, drawing huge numbers of angry citizens to Jantar Mantar in solidarity with the students. What began in Delhi soon spread beyond the capital, first reaching major metro cities before eventually making its way to smaller towns across the country.
