The rapper made sure to show his love for his wife publicly during his London concert, which was held on the same day as Queen Bey’s birthday. The star ended up turning his concert gig into a chance to serenade his wife on stage in front of thousands of fans.

The 56-year-old rapper, who was in London with his wife on September 4, suddenly paused his concert mid-performance to wish “Happy Birthday” to the ‘Lemonade’ singer. Fans cheered on as he sang “Happy Birthday” to the singer, who was also attending the concert and was sitting in one of the private VIP boxes at the concert arena, wearing a black hoodie.Fans and netizens alike shared photos and videos of the concert online, showing how smitten Jay Z was with his partner as he celebrated her day. From the box, the ‘Cowboy Carter’ singer was seen smiling at the rapper as she blew him kisses as a thank you. After ending the song, Jay Z candidly joked, “Happy birthday, dear B. She’ll kill me for that one, but whatever,” making everyone in the venue laugh and cheer the couple on. His celebration for Beyoncé, however, did not end there because during the concert he even organized special fireworks for the singer.

In order to celebrate her birthday this year with fans, the iconic singer shared her ‘B-Day album’ with the public after almost 20 years all over again. In a statement from Parkwood, the singer opened up about the inspiration behind the album and how it came together. She shared, “I wanted the album to be big, percussive, hard, up-tempo, and energized, and it was important to me that we used live instrumentation,” Beyoncé said in a statement released by Parkwood, reflecting on the making of the record. “Hip-hop was taking over at the time, but I was fighting to preserve the bridges, melodies, and harmonies that have always been at the heart of R&B. The goal was to blend those two worlds through the art of sampling. I loved the minimalism of a beautiful vocal arrangement over a simple drum loop or a classical guitar like ‘Irreplaceable’ … but only if that 808 was banging underneath.”To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album, the singer also listed a series of limited-edition merchandise on her website, including a plain wooden box worth USD 948.
