Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan have emerged as the most-followed personalities among India’s wealthiest names, staying well ahead of leading business and technology leaders. Together, the three Bollywood stars have more than 14.5 crore followers online.The M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 tracks 1,687 individuals with a net worth of at least Rs 1,000 crore across 91 cities. Apart from measuring wealth, the report also shows how much digital influence some of its entrants hold.
Bollywood’s big three lead the ranking
Going by the highest follower count across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and LinkedIn, Amitabh Bachchan tops the table with 487 lakh (4.87 crore) followers. Shah Rukh Khan is right behind with 486 lakh (4.86 crore), while Hrithik Roshan has 481 lakh (4.81 crore).
A very narrow gap at the top
The difference between the three is small. Amitabh Bachchan is ahead of SRK by only 1 lakh followers, and Hrithik trails Bachchan by 6 lakh. Their combined following comes to 1,454 lakh, or 14.54 crore.
Karan Johar is the next Bollywood name
Filmmaker Karan Johar is the next Bollywood name in the table, with 182 lakh (1.82 crore) followers. His reach is far greater than that of several business and technology leaders featured in the report.
Business and tech leaders trail behind
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has 116 lakh followers, with Anand Mahindra close behind at 115 lakh. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has 56 lakh followers, while actor and entrepreneur Juhi Chawla and her family have 53 lakh. Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani follows with 24 lakh, and entrepreneur and producer Ronnie Screwvala has 19 lakh.
Influence that goes beyond wealth
The numbers show that influence cannot be measured by balance sheets alone. While the list highlights the scale of wealth creation in the country, Bollywood’s long-standing icons continue to connect directly with millions of people through social platforms. With over 14.5 crore followers between them, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan prove that their reach extends well beyond the big screen.
