Gaurav Taneja, popularly known as Flying Beast, has finally addressed the controversy surrounding the death of his pet dog, Mau.In a video titled What really happened to Mau: the controversy, the YouTuber denied allegations that the Labrador was neglected at his Delhi farmhouse before his death. He also questioned the evidence being shared online and said he was ready to provide medical and financial records to support his account.The controversy began after Pushpendra Choudhary, a former employee at Rosier Farms, shared videos alleging that Mau had not received proper care before his death. Choudhary claimed the dog had stopped eating and did not receive timely medical attention.

Taneja rejected the allegations and said he wanted those making the claims to show evidence of animal cruelty.“I challenge all the dog lovers: does anyone have any proof that there was cruelty against an animal, against a voiceless being?” he said.According to Taneja, several videos and pictures being circulated on social media were taken from his older farmhouse vlogs and presented without their original context.“These are all videos from the past two years of the farmhouse where Mau lived. Look at the comment section. People are happy that he looks healthier now, that he is running around, that he has the whole farm and is enjoying himself,” he said.He also defended the conditions at the farmhouse, saying Mau had access to food, other animals and people who cared for him. Taneja claimed there was a full-time cook and caretakers at the property, along with a veterinary doctor who visited regularly.
‘We went to five hospitals’
Taneja also disputed claims that Mau was denied medical care.“We went to five hospitals and consulted many doctors. We have a veterinary doctor at our farmhouse who visits every day,” he said.He added that he was willing to share documents with anyone who could substantiate the allegations against him.“I will give you the exact proof: doctors’ reports, hospital reports, UPI bills, how much was paid, exact videos, exact photographs, when he was taken where, what happened, what disease he had – everything,” Taneja said.
What did the former employee allege?
The controversy gained traction after Choudhary posted a series of Instagram videos questioning the care Mau received at Rosier Farms.He alleged that Mau, who had appeared regularly in Taneja’s family vlogs, had stopped eating before his death and was not given adequate food or medical attention.Taneja, however, alleged that the controversy was connected to former employees and a dispute involving his company, Beast Life.“When this guy left Beast Life, he badmouthed the company and posted against it on LinkedIn. At Rosier too, they posted against me on LinkedIn, taking a corporate angle, but that didn’t work,” he said.“So maybe now it’s the Mau angle, because Mau is a topic that will blow up on Instagram,” he added.Taneja also questioned why people who allegedly witnessed Mau’s condition while working at the farmhouse did not raise concerns earlier.“You were fired from your job, and only then did you become concerned about Mau?” he said.He further urged anyone with evidence of animal cruelty to approach the authorities or courts. Taneja also tagged PETA India and Maneka Gandhi, asking them to look into the matter.“Please take cognisance of this case and investigate how people are mocking the death of an animal on the internet,” he said.The allegations made by the former employee and Taneja’s response have both circulated online. The claims about Mau’s treatment should therefore be treated as allegations unless independently established by veterinary records, an official investigation or other verified evidence.
