A trip to another country can come with unexpected experiences, and sometimes, even an ordinary journey becomes a talking point. A Lithuanian tourist travelling through India has shared her experience aboard the Vande Bharat Express, offering her perspective on everything from crowded platforms to the train’s facilities. Her videos have attracted attention on Instagram, with users joining the discussion about train travel in India.

Tourist compares crowded platform to ‘The Hunger Games’

Karisha, who is visiting India with her friend Kristina, shared a video showing the rush as passengers tried to board the Vande Bharat Express and find space for their luggage.Describing the scene, she compared it to the popular film series The Hunger Games.“Watching people trying to find space for their luggage felt like the Hunger Games. We struggled too,” she wrote in the video’s caption. However, the rush did not leave her disappointed with the overall journey. After spending 10 hours in the train’s first AC coach, she felt the experience justified the ticket price.“After spending 10 hours travelling in the first AC coach of the Vande Bharat Express, I can say it was worth every penny,” she added.

Why Karisha preferred travelling in an AC coach

The tourist also shared her views on travelling in air-conditioned and non-AC trains. She said she would choose an AC coach, even if it meant paying slightly more.“A ticket for a non-AC train might be just three euros cheaper than an AC coach. But if I had a choice, I would never travel on a non-AC train. Vande Bharat felt much safer,” she said.

Tourist comments on Vande Bharat Express bathroom

In another video, Karisha showed viewers the train’s bathroom. Although she found it clean, she was unhappy with the smell.“The bathroom was very clean, but it still smelled bad,” she said. She also joked that the washbasin beneath the mirror appeared larger than the toilet seat.
