While many are stuck at airports due to total airspace shutdowns, others like Nargis Fakhri are documenting the psychological toll of living under a “high alert” status in Dubai.
Nargis Fakhri on experiencing sleepless nights
The ‘Rockstar’ actress Nargis Fakhri, who reportedly resides in Dubai with her husband Tony Beig, shared a raw update on her mental state as the city faced drone and missile threats in an Instagram Story. Nargis revealed she has been unable to sleep, stating her brain is on “high alert” due to the constant uncertainty.In a previous Instagram Story, Fakhri posted, “Its been a crazy two days.”

In a follow up story, Fakhri posted, “No matter what, this feeling of anxiety & dread lingers becuz you just don’t know what’s gona happen next. Can’t even get to sleep, your brain is on high alert. It’s so late and I’m wide awake (sic).”

Actresses Esha Gupta and Sonal Chauhan were also among the thousands of travellers whose return to India has been halted by the cancellation of over 700 flights.Esha lauded the UAE government and the Ministry of Defence (@modgovae) for their “incredible job” in providing food, hotel accommodation, and airport transfers to those stranded. She reassured fans that while the situation is “scary,” the authorities are managing the crisis calmly.

Sonal, who previously appealed to PM Narendra Modi for help, shared a follow-up message calling Dubai “the safest place in the world” despite the current lockdowns. She urged fans not to panic and praised the interception systems keeping civilians safe.
