Mammootty’s full statement on war and uncertainty
Mammootty said, “There have been debates, arguments, and even wars in cinema as well. Sometimes some people win, and sometimes both sides lose. Even now, a war is going on outside. We don’t know who will win. I wish for humanity to win.”His remarks come at a time when the joint Israel–US attack on Iran has drawn international attention. Reports suggest that the strike killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
‘Patriot’ poster release
On the professional front Mammootty is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, ‘Patriot’. The newly unveiled second-look poster has generated widespread conversation across social media. The project marks a reunion with Mohanlal after more than 13 years and the film is directed by Mahesh Narayanan.Sharing the poster, Mammootty wrote, “Patriot Second Look Poster. In Cinemas Worldwide from April 23, 2026.” The poster features Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Kunchacko Boban in a tense, action-driven composition that hints at the film’s espionage thriller tone. The movie also marks the grand comeback of Nayanthara in Malayalam after a long gap. Nayanthara will be also seen in the upcoming Nivin Pauly starrer ‘Dear Students’.‘Patriot’ is slated for a global release on April 23, 2026. On the other hand, Mammootty and Mohanlal were last seen together on-screen in the film ‘Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty’ which was directed by Ranjith and received mixed reviews from the audiences.
