Recruitment process and salary
The recruitment will be conducted for Clerk posts in different departments of the Punjab Government. The total number of vacancies has not been announced yet.Candidates will be selected through a written examination, followed by a typing test and document verification.Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 19,900.
Age limit and eligibility
Candidates applying for the post must be between 18 and 37 years of age as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is available for certain categories.
- Scheduled Caste (SC) and Backward Class (BC) candidates who are residents of Punjab: upper age limit up to 42 years
- Government employees: upper age limit up to 45 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): upper age limit up to 47 years
Educational qualification
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.They must also have completed at least a 120-hour computer course with working knowledge of office productivity applications and desktop publishing applications from a government-recognised or ISO 9001 certified institution.Alternatively, candidates with an ‘O’ Level certificate from the Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC), Government of India are also eligible.In addition, candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject.
