News of her demise broke on TMZ, which also stated that her cause of death was complications from an asthma attack. According to the report, a family member revealed that Knowings was hospitalised on Friday after suffering an asthma attack that resulted in brain damage. She was placed on life support and remained there until Tuesday, when her family made the decision to withdraw life support.
‘All That’ co-stars pay tribute
She died later that night at a hospital in the Los Angeles area.Shortly after the news of the actress’ death broke online, tributes poured in from several of her former ‘All That’ co-stars. Kenan Thompson led the tributes with a social media post that read, “Never could have imagined this day!!!” He went on to add, “Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this Day!!! Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!! Show @christyknowings some love y’all!!!”Josh Server, another original ‘All That’ cast member, also remembered Knowings following news of her death. He took to his handle to write, “This is such devastating news. Christy was a light in every room and was such a kind soul. And Christy was an absolute scene stealer!!!!! Every time we performed she made every one around her better. She came in late in our run and never missed a beat. So sad for my whole Nick family. Sending love and prayers to her loved ones. Rest Easy.”

Knowings joined ‘All That’ in 1997 and remained with the series through its sixth season. During her time on the sketch show, she portrayed several recurring characters, including Penny Lane and Jessica in the “Whateverrr!!!” sketches alongside Amanda Bynes.She also appeared in three episodes of ‘Sesame Street’ with her real-life twin brother, Chris Knowings. She also pursued music and released the folk single ‘To the World’ in 2020.Knowings’ funeral arrangements and other details about her demise have not been publicly announced.
‘All That’ star Kianna Underwood passes away
The actress’ death comes months after the shocking demise of another cast member of the ‘All That’ family. Early this year, Kianna Underwood, another former cast member, died in January after being struck in a hit-and-run collision in Brooklyn. She was 33. As per reports, Underwood was crossing the street at Pitkin Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard when she was hit by a vehicle.
