DHSE +2 results 2026: Kerala Higher Secondary Examination results 2026 were announced by General Education Minister N Shamsudheen, marking the completion of the evaluation process for Class 12 students across the state and abroad.The results cover candidates from 2005 schools across Kerala, Lakshadweep, and GCC nations. A total of 4.25 lakh students appeared for the examination this year under the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) framework.DHSE +2 results 2026: Overall performance and eligibilityIn the higher secondary regular category, 3,72,423 students appeared for the examination, out of which 2,09,398 students were found eligible for higher education. The overall pass percentage stood at 77.97 per cent, showing a slight increase compared to last year’s 77.81 per cent.Gender-wise performance gap continuesThe gender-wise analysis revealed a significant gap in performance. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 86.89 per cent, while boys stood at 68.41 per cent. The trend reflects a consistent pattern observed in previous academic cycles as well.Stream-wise performance highlightsAmong academic streams, Science continued to lead with the highest pass percentage at 84.52 per cent. Institutional and district performance Aided schools recorded the highest pass percentage among school categories at 82.82 per cent, followed by special schools at 85.67 per cent. Government schools recorded 72.66 per cent, while unaided schools stood at 78.18 per cent. Among districts, Idukki emerged as the best performing district with a pass percentage of 84.64 per cent, while Kasaragod recorded the lowest at 71.72 per cent. Examination scale and evaluation overview The examination was conducted across Kerala, Lakshadweep, and GCC regions, ensuring participation from students across diverse academic centres. The evaluation process was completed under DHSE supervision with standardised assessment across all streams. The results also showed that 30,561 regular students secured full A+ grades in all subjects, reflecting high academic achievement within the cohort. Key academic observations Science remained the strongest performing stream, while Humanities continued to record comparatively lower results. The performance gap between male and female students remained consistent, indicating a continuing trend in Kerala’s higher secondary outcomes. Students who qualified will now proceed to higher education admissions across universities and professional courses in Kerala and other regions.
