Attraction often grows from chemistry, appearance, humour or the feeling of being understood. Compatibility becomes clearer in less exciting moments, such as handling money, dividing household responsibilities or deciding where to live.

Two people may feel intensely drawn to each other but want very different things from life. One might value stability, while the other dreams of constant change. Neither desire is wrong, but ignoring the difference can lead to disappointment.

The lesson is not to dismiss attraction. It is to recognise that chemistry is a beginning, not proof that a relationship will work.
