According to IANS, the audio clip contained an even more chilling and direct warning for the filmmaker. The accused allegedly stated that the firing at Shetty’s Juhu home was merely a trailer of what is to come. They made it very clear that if the director does not comply with their demands this time, the bullets would no longer be aimed at his property but at him personally. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly given Rohit a stern ultimatum through the audio clip, demanding he pay an extortion amount of Rs 20 crore or face serious consequences.

According to the police, the matter came to light on Saturday morning when Shetty’s staff stumbled upon an audio clip that was approximately 90 seconds long. Investigators believe that the voice in the clip belongs to Shubham Lonkar, a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, who is already a wanted criminal. Lonkar is reportedly being sought by the authorities in connection with two serious cases, the 2024 murder of leader Baba Siddiqui and the firing incident that took place outside Rohit’s Juhu residence in February 2026.

A Mumbai Crime Branch official confirmed that Shetty’s staff wasted no time and promptly handed over the audio clip to the police for investigation. Back in February, Rohit’s Juhu residence was the target of a shocking attack when five bullets were fired outside his home near Hasya Kalakar Mehmood Chowk. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had proudly claimed responsibility for the attack shortly after. The shots were fired by Deepak Sharma, who arrived at the spot on a bike and opened fire before fleeing. He was subsequently tracked down and arrested by the authorities in Agra.
What happened in the charge sheet filed in Rohit Shetty’s Juhu firing case?
In April, the Mumbai Crime Branch filed a massive 1,624-page charge sheet in connection with the firing incident. A total of 15 accused were named in the charge sheet. Out of these, two individuals, Pravin Lonkar and Aarzo Bishnoi, were declared absconders, meaning they are yet to be caught and remain on the run from the authorities.
