Vismaya Mohanlal‘s ‘Thudakkam’ recorded a notable increase in its box office earnings on its second day. The Malayalam thriller saw a stronger response on Saturday as the weekend began.According to Sacnilk, ‘Thudakkam’ collected Rs 3.50 crore net in India on Day 2. The film had earned Rs 2.55 crore net on Friday. Saturday’s collection represents a 37.3% increase from its opening-day figure.The film’s two-day India net collection has now reached Rs 6.05 crore. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 7.02 crore.
‘Thudakkam’ sees 37.3% jump on Saturday
The film was screened across 1,138 shows on its second day. Its overall occupancy for the Malayalam version stood at 54.07%.The morning shows recorded 24.17% occupancy. Afternoon shows registered 50.92%. The evening shows reached 64.17%. Night shows recorded the highest occupancy at 73.17%.The upward movement in collections comes after the film opened with ₹2.55 crore on Friday.
Kerala leads state-wise earnings
Kerala remained the primary contributor to ‘Thudakkam’s Day 2 gross collection. The state recorded Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday.Karnataka added Rs 30 lakhs to the day’s gross. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 7 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together recorded Rs 4 lakhs.The rest of India contributed Rs 15 lakhs. The reported state-wise gross collection for the day stood at Rs 4.06 crore.
Overseas collection reaches Rs 8.40 crore
‘Thudakkam’ earned Rs 4.50 crore gross internationally on Day 2. Its cumulative overseas gross has now reached Rs 8.40 crore.Combining its India gross of Rs 7.02 crore with the overseas total, ‘Thudakkam’ has reached a worldwide gross collection of Rs 15.42 crore.
